CWD in Eau Claire a Head Scratcher for State Agency

One deer.  An enclosed farm in Eau Claire county where the deer lived its entire life.  Apparently the only deer on the farm to get sick and die from chronic wasting disease in an area of the state where the disease has never been found. Yes, says Raechelle Cline from state’s department of Agriculture, it is a bit of a mystery.  She says the department has no theories right now about how CWD got onto the property but has started an indepth investigation.  The farm has been quarantined and deer can’t be removed from the farm unless they’re being taken to slaughter.
