Oil Industry Rep: Get Used to Oil Trains
Oil industry lobbyists meeting with community leaders in La Crosse today. Erin Roth, from the American Petroleum Institute, will address issues like rail safety in meetings with various groups. Roth says the industry recognizes that locals have plenty of concerns about oil rail shipments. But there’s ploblems about expecting quick fixes.. He says oil shipments on rail will continue for the foreseeable future.
Roth says the oil industry fully supports improving the quality of both rail cars and rail infrastructure to deal with increased oil rail shipments.
