Court: 20 Year-old Drunk Driving Still Drunk Driving
A Tomah man arrested last year for his fourth drunk-driving charge is trying to get the state to nullify his first OWI, from more than 20 years ago. But an appeals court says John Navrestad did not make a convincing case for dropping the 1992 charge. Navrestad says his very first arrest should not count on his record, because the court mistakenly did not count it after his second arrest. His most recent OWI case in Monroe County has not concluded yet.
