Walker Announcement Means Money Spigot Slows

Governor Walker finally filing his papers to enter the presidential campaign.  He plans an official announcement on July 13th.  That means no more unlimited fundraising as a non-candidate.  Not by him.  Other groups are more than welcome to do that, says Jay Heck with Wisconsin Common Cause, and he’s sure they will.  As Heck says, there will be shortage of money in the Walker campaign for president. 

 

As an official candidate for president, Walker himself can collect just 27 hundred dollars from individual donors for the primary election and another 27 hundred during a general election.  If he makes it that far.
