Walker tops in polling but critics question commitment
Governor Walker is riding high since announcing a run for president earlier this month. Polls show him near the top among the long list of presidential candidates. But critics contend he got there by making damaging changes to institutions like the UW system and the state’s Badgercare health system. Unacceptable, says Robert Kraig, from Citizen Action of Wisconsin. He says Walker’s political maneuvers and ambitions should take a back seat to the needs of the people in the state.
Latest polling shows Walker trailing only Donald Trump nationwide among likely republican-leaning voters but still leading in the all-important state of Iowa.
