La Crosse working on millions in projects

Top of list include fire truck and La Crosse Center renovation

The La Crosse city budget winnowing process continues this week. 

The city’s working through tens of millions of dollars in department requests for capital projects. Just a few million of those requests can be granted.  

High priorities include a fire truck, a $2 million La Crosse Center renovation and ongoing work at Riverside Park.  

The city plan commission will hold a public hearing Tuesday in city hall to get feedback on all of the requests.
