Camping could cost as much as $23 a night

Camping becomes a little more costly today in Wisconsin.

State park fees go up today a few bucks. The increases affect state camping sites, trails, forests and recreation areas.

The overnight camping fee for a Wisconsin resident will go up from between $3 and $6 per night. The increase is between $6 and $9 for non residents.

That means a basic campsite, minus electricity will cost as much as $23 per night for some. Hookups will set you back an extra $10.

Annual state park admission stickers and trail passes are also increasing but those adjustments won’t go into effect until the beginning of the year.
