La Crosse to add 3-D mural

Local artists have been trained in 3-D arts

When the city of La Crosse spent money for a 3-D mural to decorate the west wall of the Pump House, local artists were trained in the 3-D technique so they could do similar projects in the future.  

Now, the city arts board is looking for a new site for another mural, perhaps to promote a specific neighborhood.  

Jan Gallagher from the arts board told the La Crosse plan commission that it could seek a federal grant to develop that proposed mural.  

Board members also continue to plan for a plaque that would be posted outside the Pump House to describe what is displayed on the ‘Confluence’ mural.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
