Rd. Construction nearing end in La Crosse
City says projects should end soon and on time
Traffic on all of Main street in La Crosse is getting close to resuming.
City public works director Dale Hexom told WIZM this morning that the four blocks that have been under construction and shut down for the last several weeks are just about ready for traffic.
Among the changes to Main St. are the curb bump outs that will shorten the space pedestrians have to cross to get to the main library.
Hexom also says that the rest of the numerous road construction projects going on in the city are heading towards completion on time.
One of the most disruptive, the Second St. closure, should be done by the end of August.
