Doyle to succeed Tlustosch on bench in La Crosse
First time it’s happened in the county
For the second time in less than a year, Branch 5 of La Crosse County Court gets a new judge next week. And for the first time in the county, there will be a woman succeeding another woman on the bench.
Gloria Doyle was elected in April, and she’ll follow Candice Tlustosch, who was appointed after long-time judge Dale Pasell retired.
Tlustosch finished third in the primary for judge, but her five months of experience have made her eager to run again in the future.
Tlustosch tells WIZM that presiding over cases has given her a new perspective on how the courts work.
