Don Weber donates $50k to Walker PAC
Unintimidated PAC has raised $20 million
A La Crosse businessman has a big stake in a Scott Walker presidential campaign.
LHI founder Don Weber has donated $50,000 to governor Walker’s Unintimidated PAC, according to finance records released Friday.
Despite the sizable chunk of change dropped on the PAC, Weber is not anywhere close to being the top donor. That distinction goes to Diane Hendricks, owner of Beloit-based ABC Supply, who has donated $5 million to the committee, so far.
Hendricks also spent a half million dollars on Walker’s recall campaign. The family that owns the Chicago Cubs has also donated $5 million to the committee.
Typical campaign donation limits don’t apply to the fundraising committee, because it’s considered to be independent of Walker himself. So far, the Unintimidated PAC has raised about $20 million to support the Wisconsin governor.
