Walker has $20,000 in cc debt
Presidential candidate has significant negative worth
Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s credit card debt might seem a little unusual.
A new report says the governor has over $20,000 in credit card debt, which actually appears to be considerably lower from just a few months ago.
And, as he campaigns for president, the rest of Walker’s financial picture doesn’t appear too rosy, either. According to the report, Walker lists his sons’ $100,000 in student loans as part of his debt picture. He’s got few assets to balance that and appears to have a significant negative net worth.
But Walker’s level of credit card debt is also much higher than that held by the average Wisconsinite, which is closer to $7,000. That level makes Wisconsin one of the lowest states in the U.S. Iowa typically has the lowest indebtedness on average
