Streets closed for paving beginning today

Nothing says “just about ready to reopen the street” like putting down some pavement.  Which is exactly what will happen today in downtown La Crosse.  A little bit of paving, anyway.  Second to Front street on State Street will be closed for paving.  As will Front Street for a stretch north of State Street.  The two pieces are next to the new Charmont hotel on the corner of State and Front street, which is nearing completion.  No word on when Second street might start getting paved.
