Mom gets probation for leaving child in car to buy heroin

Probation for a Galesville woman who left her toddler in a hot car, while she went into a La Crosse house to buy heroin. Katie Kaiser has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor child neglect charge. The 3-year-old boy was in a car seat inside the car that was parked outside a house on Hagar Street last April. Police said the child was sweating. They found drug activity going on in the house, and Kaiser had admitted to buying drugs there. Two other women were arrested on heroin charges in that incident.

 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
