Man facing seventh drunk-driving charge, says he wasn’t driving
Claims he let others, who ran away, drive
He claims he wasn’t driving, but a La Crosse man is still facing a seventh drunk-driving charge after failing a breath test this weekend.
Timothy Peterson had called for a tow truck because of a flat tire on his SUV. The tow driver called police, because he thought Peterson had been drinking.
A sheriff’s officer found Peterson alone with his vehicle on a county road near Holmen, Wis.
Peterson said he let two other people drive his vehicle while he rode, but when the SUV got a flat, the others ran away. A breath test showed Peterson with blood-alcohol level of .18.
