La Crosse bringing in parking consultants

City trying to decide on parking manager’s job duties

Local governments in La Crosse have hired a bunch of consultants over the years.  

Another outside company could be brought in to help La Crosse handle problems in its parking ramps.  

City public works director, Dale Hexom, told WIZM’s Mike Hayes that a Minnesota company could be asked to look at ramp maintenance and parking rates.  

The parking utility board is trying to write a job description for a full-time parking manager. Meanwhile, an assistant public works director has proposed hiring more employees to do basic ramp maintenance.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
