“We will never forget”
Painting honors veteran who died at Tomah VA
The message is a simple one: “We will never forget.”
It can now be seen on a painting being displayed at the Tomah VA medical center, created in honor of a veteran who died from being prescribed too many drugs by doctors.
Jason Simcakoski died in August 2015, and a hospital housekeeper who knew him made the painting, which also features an eagle and the American flag.
Simcakoski’s parents were among the guests who attended the unveiling at the Tomah VA on Sunday.
