Pedal pubs in La Crosse, minus the ‘pub’

Pedal pubs can often be seen on the streets of places like Milwaukee and Minneapolis – big, rolling, drinking parties with participants providing the pedal power and hoping for lots of flat surfaces. 

Something similar could be coming to La Crosse – without the drinking, apparently. 

The city council will vote this month on an ordinance that aims to better regulate pedal cabs and similar rolling enterprises.

Unlike the classic pedal pub model, however, the cabs getting a once over by the council in La Crosse would be prohibited from having alcohol aboard. Loud music from the pedal cars would also not be allowed.
