Former Tomah VA director now ‘let go’

Desanctis was originally reassigned after investigation

TOMAH, Wis. – First, he was reassigned, now, he’s out of a job completely.  

Former Tomah VA director Mario Desanctis reportedly was ‘let go,’ according to Congressman Ron Kind’s office. 

Desanctis recently was reassigned to a job outside the Tomah hospital, after an investigation found instances of patients getting too many opioid medicines at the medical center. The staff at Tomah declined to comment, other than to confirm that word of Desanctis’s departure came from the national VA headquarters.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
