‘Teacher of year’ award to help Holmen recruit
King’s honor could draw outside talent to district
The Holmen School District just got a great recruiting tool for new teachers. That tool: a ‘teacher of the year’ award for one of its veteran faculty members.
Agriculture instructor Roger King has been named Wisconsin’s High School Teacher of the Year and is now in the running for national honors.
Holmen Superintendent Kris Mueller believes King’s honor will draw other good teachers to the district.
Mueller says recognition of a Holmen teacher as the best in the state reflects the high standards that the district has for hiring classroom talent.
