Campbell to vote on law enforcement assistance agreement

Been on table for months, still needs review by town attorney

A vote could come next month from the Campbell town board on a mutual assistance agreement for law enforcement with the cities of La Crosse and Onalaska.  

The proposed agreement has been before the Campbell board for several months, but Campbell town clerk Chad Hawkins says it still needs to be reviewed by town attorney Brent Smith before a vote is taken.  

The agreement could ease restrictions on what law enforcement workers from one community can do while on duty in another jurisdiction.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
