Pride in the Park happens Saturday at Riverside

Pridefest holding a slew of events from breakfast
to kids’ events to an evening drag show

They’re bringing ‘Pride to the Park.’ Thta’s the theme of Pridefest in La Crosse.

Beginning at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, the 7 Rivers LGBTQ Connection is sponsoring La Crosse’s annual event.

The director of 7 Rivers, Jackson Jantzen, says gay and transgender people in La Crosse have a strong community, and they want to reach out to folks outside the city.  

The celebration also includes a free breakfast at Wettstein’s at 9 a.m., and an evening “So You Think You Can Drag” show at the Cavalier.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
