Hunter was shooting at squirrel when hit another 

COON VALLEY, Wis., – A Holmen man was injured in a hunting accident over the weekend. Around 10:15 a.m. Sunday, the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a hunting accident east of Coon Valley on public hunting land owned by the state. 

Alcedin Vang, 44, of Eau Claire, Wis., was squirrel hunting with a group. He shot at a squirrel and accidentally hit another hunter.

The victim, 43-year-old Lee Vang was shot in the shoulder. He was treated at the scene and taken to Gundersen Health System.

The accident remains under investigation by the Wisconsin DNR.
