La Crosse airport getting over $2 million for new jet bridge
Facility must contribute $200,000
Over $2.4 million is coming to the La Crosse Regional Airport for a third jet bridge.
Airport manager Clint Torp said the money comes with a slight hitch. The airport has to kick in a little over $220,000.
The improvements to passenger-boarding bridges and the airport terminal will create a better travel experience for the thousands of travelers who use the airport, Torp said. The entire renovation is scheduled to be done in December.
The project is funded by the FAA, Wisconsin Bureau of Aeronautics, along with the airport. No local taxpayer dollars are supporting the construction.
