Bond for man who allegedly shot mother set at $100k

Mother was shot in back Wednesday

The bond is set at $100,000 dollars for a Cashton man accused of shooting his mother this week. 

Today, Cody Kraabel made his first appearance in Monroe County court since his mother, Terri Keepers, was shot in the back Wednesday. 

He faces three charges, including attempted murder and recklessly endangering safety. 

Kraabel has been ordered to have no contact with his mother or her house, and he must not commit violence or make violent threats.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse.
