Tavren was hit by truck and trailer coming down Bliss Rd.

It may take around two months for La Crosse’s oldest tavern to get back to business after being damaged by a runaway truck.

The Bluffside has been in business as a bar since the 1860s, and owner Mike Gazeley hopes to have it back open within a couple of weeks.

The Main Street side of the tavern was smashed in by a water truck pulling a Bobcat on a trailer coming down Bliss Road in late August.
