La Crosse police cracking down on texting and driving
Extra officers will be on hand five days in Oct. to enforce distracted driving
La Crosse police has begun a crackdown on distracted driving today.
A grant-fueled effort will put more patrols on the street on five days in October. The La Crosse Police Dept. will be working in conjunction with Holmen and UW-L campus police in its enforcement effort.
Although there’s been a significant effort recently to focus attention on texting and driving, police say distracted driving can also include activities like eating and drinking.
