Loggers, city agree on Copeland Park lease extension

Lease keeps Loggers at Copeland until, likely, 2033

La Crosse Loggers will call Copeland Park home, likely until 2033.

The full city council has approved a renewable five-year lease extension for the Loggers.

The extension comes as the team is planning at least $800,000 in improvements at the city park.  The lease will also allow the team to hold more special non-baseball events at the park.

Essential, says the team, to pay for all of the improvements. The lease extension also calls for the team to pay 2-percent more in rent every year to the city.
