Local coalition receives grant from White House

The $125,000 grant will help keep kids off drugs

The La Crosse County Prevention Network Coalition is receiving a $125,000 grant.

The White House Drug Policy office is awarding the coalition the grant to help prevent substance use among youth.

Tracy Herlitzke with the network says they will us the money to concentrate on three major areas: prescription drugs, marijuana and alcohol.

Those areas chosen from results taken from the Youth Risk Behavior survey, which is conducted every two years amount high school students.
