La Crosse police bring in two more of 17 drug traffickers
Drug ring is bringing in meth from
Mexico, to Twin Cities, to La Crosse area
One by one, the 17 people on a list of suspects in an area drug trafficking meth ring are being brought to jail.
Two more people identified by police last week in a local meth sweep have been arrested since late Monday.
Jacob Porath was admitted to the La Crosse jail early this morning, a few hours after the arrest of Sam Lestina.
Those arrests leave only three of the original 17 who have not been booked yet.
La Crosse area police claim several suspects have made regular runs to the Twin Cities to pick up crystal meth made in Mexico, bringing it back to sell in western Wisconsin counties.
