She told Winona police she saw the gun and blood on murder suspect
Clay was apparently the getaway
driver in robbery turned murder in Winona
WINONA, Minn. – She saw Lonnie Hudson carrying a gun, and noticed blood on the gun and on the 23-year-old’s pants.
That’s part of the story 18-year-old Kayla Mae Clay gave police about a shooting this month in Winona.
Clay and Hudson are two of the three people arrested so far, following the murder of Adam Fort, who was shot once in the abdomen at his Winona apartment in an apparent robbery.
Clay is charged as an accessory to a crime, for allegedly driving Hudson and another man from the crime scene.
Winona County Attorney Karin Sonneman says it’s not certain, yet, whether any more charges will be filed against Clay. Judge Mary Leahy has set Clay’s bail at $250,000.
