Parking board cracking down on reserved spots
Board has plan to revoke those permits for breaking rules
The La Crosse city parking board is not OK with those taking advantage of reserved spots over the weekend.
Seems a lot of weekend goers downtown are fed up finding that the only open spaces are reserved 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Those reserved spots are only reserved during the week. It seems, however, some people owning those permits are still using their reserved spaces in the off-hours, without paying for that privilege.
Current parking supervisor Bob Haines brought it to the attention of the parking board and now, it’s approved a plan to revoke someone’s parking permit for 30 days, if they’re caught leaving a car indefinitely in a space that’s only reserved on weekdays.
