No, not Scott Walker, this one involves the Arcadia mayor

ARCADIA, Wis. – There’s a recall election in Wisconsin and it doesn’t involve Governor Scott Walker.

No, this one happens with Arcadia mayor John Kimmel on Nov. 24.

A citizen’s group calling for the recall election claimed Kimmel has, among other things, stifled public comments and refused to heed public opinion on a referendum on sand mines in the city. 

To get the recall, Arcadia got 226 signatures on a recall petition. Rob Reichwein hopes to oppose Kimmel on that ballot. The account manager at Supreme Graphics in Arcadia is trying to get the required 50 signatures from residents to get his name on the ballot.

Kimmel says, regardless of the recall’s outcome, he will run for the mayor’s office again next April during the spring elections.
