Paul Ryan steps in as No. 3 in D.C.
Wisconsin native, now Speaker,
doesn’t have to work on new budget
If the 2012 presidential election had gone differently, Paul Ryan might have the No. 2 job in Washington D.C., right now.
Instead, however, of being vice president, Ryan now has the No. 3 position, Speaker of the House.
The Janesville Republican starts out in that job without having to work out a new budget.
That was accomplished by outgoing speaker John Boehner, and La Crosse congressman Ron Kind praises Boehner for that effort.
Kind says more work can be done on the budget by Ryan and others in the next few months by looking for more areas to save costs.
