Logan MS has anti-bullying contest

Mayor and students watched the Top 3 videos

It is National Bullying Prevention month and Logan Middle School organized an anti-bullying video contest.

Twelve videos were made and the Top 3 were shown Wednesday at an all-school assembly.

Kicked off by La Crosse Mayor Tim Kabat, he told several hundred students that the bullying message is something he takes with him every day.

The project let students see themselves as a force for positive change.

The videos showed bullying issues from a student perspective and offered solutions to end bullying in schools and the community.

Mrs. Hughes’ eighth grade homeroom took third. Second place went to Mrs. Fleig’s eighth homeroom. And, winning the contest was Mr. Olson’s eighth grade homeroom.
