First partnership between La Crosse and private business
Partnership developing local housing
A new house on La Crosse’s south side represents the first partnership between the city government and private business to develop local housing.
The house built on Mississippi Street replaces an older residence that was torn down.
Chris and Penny Warren (right) have moved into the new house with their two daughters, and Penny thinks it will be good for La Crosse.
Spies Const. agreed to put up the new house, at the city’s request. Until this project, previous houses built by the city of La Crosse had been done in partnership with Western Technical College or specific organizations.
