Man arrested threatening someone with gun near Logan M.S.
Gun on man had serial number filed off
He was injured last August, during a series of shootings in La Crosse.
Now, Paul Thomas Sr. (above-left) is facing gun-related charges, after an arrest Sunday.
According to the report, a witness saw the 40-year-old Thomas pull a gun and shove it into the neck of Anthony Tillis (above-right) near Logan Middle School, before calling police.
Officers arrived, weapons drawn and ordered the men to get on the ground and found a .45-caliber with the serial number filed off in Thomas’ pants.
On August 15th, Thomas was shot in the foot outside his apartment. It was one of several apparently related shootings that week, including the murder of a 17-year-old Central High School student.
Thomas was arrested Sunday for reckless endangerment, carrying a concealed weapon, and possessing a firearm in a school zone. Tillis, 44, was arrested having two Buffalo County warrants, three La Crosse warrants out, along with disorderly.
