LA CRESCENT, Minn. – The saga continues tonight over a lighted cross and star in La Crescent.

The council will also hear the latest developments in the dispute over having religious symbols on public land.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation has called on the city to take down the cross and star, claiming they violate the separation of church and state.

Many citizens have spoken out in favor of keeping the displays where they are, and the Lions Club has offered to buy the property where the symbols stand now.
