Three-year project costing $200 million, is on schedule

After three years, the new I-90 bridge over the Mississippi River is ready to be used soon.

Project engineer Mark Anderson from MinnDOT says they’re preparing to switch traffic from the old bridge to a new span.

Rain has delayed finishing touches on the eastbound lanes into Wisconsin. Anderson says the westbound half of the new bridge will be open sometime next year.

The nearly $200-million project is on schedule with work crews able to take a few weeks off during the winter.
