Community Thanksgiving dinners going until 3 p.m.

Events at La Crosse Center
and Onalaska’s National Guard

They’re serving turkey, potatoes, pie and more at the La Crosse Center.

The 33rd Annual La Crosse Community Thanksgiving Dinner, a tradition since the 1980s, almost ended this year, before many new volunteers came forward to keep it going.

The dinner will feature music, games for the kids, and football games on TV for the grownups.

Onalaska will put on its 5th holiday dinner at the National Guard Armory. The meals will be served at both events from 11 to 3.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
