Tomah VA to discuss plan for better conditions

Meeting takes place Tuesday at Viterbo

More reform ideas for a local VA medical center have been announced.

The Tomah VA is implementing a 100-day plan aimed at reducing problems for patients and making the working conditions friendlier for employees.

The plan probably will be discussed Tuesday at the Viterbo nursing center in La Crosse with Tomah VA representatives.

Victoria Brahm was named the newest interim director on Oct. 5 – the second one appointed there since a management shakeup early this year. She will serve as director through Jan. 31, when a permanent director will be named.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
