Prosecutor said his showing up was a surprise attack

He drove 18 hours from North Carolina to Wisconsin without telling her.

Sounds like true love, but it turned out to be quite the opposite.

Mykel Bright may have flown fly back to the Tarheel state now, after that drive that allegedly led to a fight with his ex-girlfriend, which led to him choking her and holding her nose shut.

Bright pled not guilty in La Crosse court Monday to the charges involved in the attack of his ex in Holmen. Prosecutor Justine Suleski called it a surprise attack.

He was originally charged with strangulation, criminal trespass, battery, intimidation of a victim and disorderly conduct in early November.

Judge Ramona Gonzalez ordered him to go back to North Carolina and stay out of La Crosse County without permission, otherwise he’ll be jailed.
