Bear tracks seen in Holmen

Bear itself has yet to be seen

HOLMEN, Wis. – They’re seeing bear tracks in Holmen.

Police Lt. Shane Collins hasn’t heard of anyone seeing a bear, but there are reports of tracks near a baseball field by Sand Lake Elementary School.

Another bear was seen earlier this year in the Deerwood Park area.

Collins says bear sightings should be called into the DNR, or to the sheriff’s department at 608-785-5942. The police say, if you see a bear, stay away.
