Tomah VA director speaks at Viterbo

Only a few veterans showed up to meeting

TOMAH, Wis. – It’s been almost a year since the Tomah VA was under national scrutiny. Today, still, the facility is working to regain the trust of the public, patients, and employees.

Part of that effort involves getting the management out to meet area veterans and acting hospital director Victoria Brahm came to La Crosse Tuesday evening for that purpose.

Brahm led a brief town hall meeting at Viterbo University, which only attracted a few veterans. She said comments and complaints about services for veterans are going straight up the chain of command in the agency.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
