Police standoff in Sparta
Police finally breached house using bearcat
Sparta, Wis. – For the second time in two weeks, a Monroe County tactical team had to be used to arrest a few perps that had barricaded themselves inside a Sparta home.
Friday night, after a violent altercation, 29-year-old Amanda Miller and 35-year-old Andrew Raymer barricaded themselves inside a house near the high school when police showed up.
Miller finally came out and was arrested, but when Raymer showed himself, he was holding a rifle.
After hours, the tactical team released several canisters of pepper spray into the house and eventually breached a wall to gain entry with use of the La Crosse County bearcat.
Both Miller and Raymer are in jail awaiting charges.
