Fifth set of layoffs at Chart Industries

105 will be laid off by year’s end

Happy holidays won’t be quite so happy for about a hundred workers in La Crosse.

Chart Industries has announced a layoff of 105 workers by the end of the year. It’s the fifth set of layoffs this year, though the company still employs about 300 in La Crosse.

The latest round of employees blamed on some unexpected production delays. The company completed a $50-million expansion at its plant in the city early last year.
