Onalaska woman gets fifth OWI, La Crosse man accused of sex crimes

She was found guilty of her fifth OWI, along with speeding and reckless driving.

Onalaska, Wis., native Sandra Scott was convicted by a jury Thursday. She’ll be sentenced February 19.

Scott admitted to taking drugs before she was stopped at Gundersen Health System.

She claimed she was in a hurry to get to the hospital pharmacy, before it closed on a Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, a La Crosse man could get 60 years if he’s convicted of planning a sex crime and sexual assault.

A trial will be scheduled for Jeremy Elton, who is accused of using computers to plan a sex crime, along with attempted sexual assault.

Elton pleaded not guilty to charges that he communicated with an underage girl on-line and arranged a meeting with her. He was actually chatting with a police officer from Holmen, Wis.
