UW-L bringing in finalists for its police chief

Four finalists will have meetings
over the next two weeks

The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is getting closer to naming a new police chief.

The former chief, Scott Rohde, left the university last year after 16 years to become a director of security at a college in Connecticut.

Four finalists for the job will be part of public forums beginning this week. The first will take place at 3 p.m. either at Centennial Hall or the Cartwright Center.

Thursday, it’s a meet and greet with Scott Alo, current chief of police in Bangor. Friday, it will be Kurt Leibold, assistant chief of police from the City of Milwaukee.

There will be two more forums next week.

One with Lisa Josvai, director of campus security at Viterbo University in La Crosse. And one with Scott McCullough, the current Interim police chief at UW-L.
