La Crosse having trouble filing parking utility position
Most that applied
don’t meet qualifications
La Crosse is trying to create a job that very few people have anywhere else.
As a result, the city is having a difficult time filling the new post of ‘parking utility coordinator.’
Public works director Dale Hexom says 20 people answered a job posting that’s been out for a month, but most of them don’t meet the qualifications the city wants.
He says they may have to settle for somebody who’s not an expert on parking matters.
Hexom says Appleton is one of the few cities in the region with its own parking manager, and he doesn’t plan on luring that person to La Crosse.
