Onalaska woman involved in meth bust, now caught in forgery scheme

The 34-year-old faces burglary and
forgery charges along with meth trafficking

A 34-year-old Onalaska woman has pled not guilty to forging her parent’s checks, which is the latest, but least of her troubles.

On top of Brynn Panek’s burglary and forgery charges, she’s also charged in a major meth trafficking bust a few months ago.

Just last month, Panek was one of 17 people busted in connection with a case that moved hundreds of pounds of crystal meth throughout the region.

But, earlier this month, according to police, Panek paid a guy to open an account and cash checks with her parents’ name. One of those checks was flagged because of the amount.

The bank contacted her parents and figured out it was a forgery.

The guy told police he had orders from Panek to cash the checks for her and she’d pay him $100 a check. He’s been busted, too.
